The first Test of the imminent England’s tour of India will commence at the MA Chidambaram Stadium from tomorrow. The four-match series will resume international cricket in India after the COVID-19 pandemic.

India captain Virat Kohli and England vice-captain Ben Stokes returning to their respective teams after missing the last series calls for a high-profile series between two topmost teams in the format.

Star Network will broadcast the live streaming of the first Test between England and India in India. As has been the case in the past, Star will put on display extensive coverage throughout England’s tour of India 2021.
Given how tomorrow’s match will be the first international match played in India in the last one year, it will be televised on a number of channels owned by Star Network which includes commentary in English, Hindi and other languages as well.
Online users can stream the match on Star’s streaming application named Disney+Hotstar. It is worth mentioning that the match won’t be available on any other streaming platform in India.

As far as the fans in England are concerned, they will be able to watch the Chennai Test on their televisions by tuning in to Channel 4 as Test cricket returns to free to air television for the first time after Ashes 2005.
“Channel 4 will show exclusive free to air live television coverage of England’s Test series against India. And for viewers who can’t manage the early 4 AM start, highlights will be available on All 4,” Channel 4 said in a statement yesterday.
