With a series win not on the cards anymore after the rained-off second ODI, team India will have their eyes on finishing the tour on a high and draw level the three-match series against New Zealand 1-1.

The third and final match against the Kiwis will take place on Wednesday (tomorrow), at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch, with rain Gods likely to make an appearance yet again and make-way for a start-stop contest.
Despite India managing to bat mere 12.5 Overs during the previous ODI, opening batter Shubman Gill made sure to impress yet again with a second straight half-century. Suryakumar Yadav as well, showed glimpses of the fine form that he is presently in, with a fluent 34* (25).
The team think-tank was however, criticized no ends after Sanju Samson was left out to accommodate a sixth bowling option in Deepak Hooda, especially after the former has been performing well in the format of-late.
With not much cricketing action possible the other day, it will be interesting to see whether India does somehow make way for Samson in the playing XI tomorrow, either at the cost of a sixth bowling option, or by dropping one of Suryakumar Yadav or Rishabh Pant.
New Zealand, on the other hand, are likely to play the same side as the second ODI.
