IPL Auction 2023 Live Telecast Channel in India: When and where to watch Tata IPL mini auction 2023?

All eyes will move towards Kochi where the auction for the upcoming 16th season of the Indian Premier League will be held tomorrow. Kochi, which used to have an IPL franchise at one point in time, will be hosting an IPL auction for the first time.

A one-day mini-auction will begin in the afternoon (local time) as all the 10 franchises will participate to complete their squads depending on individual needs. While some of the franchises will be seen actively bidding for players after having released multiple players, the others will mostly look to fill several minor voids.

Out of the 991 initial list of players, as many as 405 have been shortlisted for the auction on Friday. Although there’s still a chance of a player or two getting added by the morning of the auction, these will go under the hammer according to six different price categories.

Considering how some of the high-profile players have been released, it will doubtlessly be interesting to see some of them entering the auction. Furthermore, it wouldn’t be a surprise if a few of these remain unsold as happens with established players in each auction.

IPL 2023 mini-auction will be the first such event getting broadcast by a couple of networks at the same time. Considering how two different entities won successful bids for television and digital platforms respectively earlier this year, Indian fans will have the privilege of following two different streams.

Tried and tested Star Sports Network will be televising the auction on various channels with experts discussing the proceedings in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

With Star not winning the digital bid for Disney+Hotstar, Viacom’s Jio Cinema will be live streaming the mini auction. Having most recently streamed 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, this platform will now be live streaming everything with respect to IPL 2023.

Match start Time – 02:30 PM (India).

TV Channel – Star Sports 1/1 HD, Star Sports 1 Hindi/1 HD Hindi, Star Sports First, Star Sports 1 Tamil, 1 Telugu & 1 Kannada (India).
