Kieron Pollard sixes: Watch Knight Riders captain hits two one-handed sixes vs Barbados Tridents in CPL 2020

Kieron Pollard sixes: The captain of Trinbago Knight Riders played some powerful shots during his 17-ball innings in Tarouba.

During the ninth match of the eighth season of the ongoing Caribbean Premier League between Trinbago Knight Riders and Barbados Tridents in Tarouba, Trinbago Knight Riders captain Kieron Pollard hit a couple of sixes with just one hand to put on display his brute force at the batting crease.

Pollard, who came in to bat at No. 5 in the 14th over, scored 41* (17) with the help of one four and four sixes played a crucial role in powering his team to a dominating 185/3 in their allowed quota of 20 overs. It is worth mentioning that Knight Riders have registered the highest innings score of this season so far.

The first of Pollard’s one-handed sixes came in the 17th over when he hit Barbados all-rounder Mitchell Santner down the ground without even stepping out to generate some power. On the last delivery of the following over, Pollard treated Tridents pacer Raymon Reifer in the same manner in a six which went over long-on.

Pollard was well-supported by senior batsman Darren Bravo, who scored 54* (36) with the help of four fours and four sixes, as the pair joined hands to stitch an unbeaten 98-run stand for the fourth wicket.

Barbados captain Jason Holder would have expected of his bowlers to do a better job especially after he won the toss and chose to field. With bowling figures of 4-0-20-1, Tridents spinner Ashley Nurse was the pick of their bowlers.
