The fact that the South African opening batter Quinton de Kock is not being missed by the Lucknow Super Giants franchise in the ongoing IPL season, is because another Southpaw batter in Kyle Mayers has been smashing the bowlers left, right, and centre at the former’s usual batting position in the team.

With skipper KL Rahul not having the best of times with the bat, Mayers has been the man for LSG so far at the top, who has provided the side with rollicking starts with four half-centuries under his name across eight innings.

Having made his T20I debut for the West Indies in November 2020, the 30-year-old has rose up the ranks with the reputation of being a power-hitter at the top of the order, and is presently having a dream debut IPL season for a franchise which had made its debut the previous year itself.

Son of former Barbados cricketers Shirley Clarke, Mayers has not disclosed much information with regard to the rest of his family members as well, thereby keeping his personal life mostly under wraps.

However, the Southpaw batter does have a beautiful nine-year-old daughter named N’Kyah Mayers, whose multiple pictures can be seen in his Instagram profile. As per credible reports, N’Kyah’s mother and Kyle Mayer’s former partner’s name is Nykita Layne.

The duo never entered in a wedlock, and have reportedly parted ways after the birth of their daughter on August 10, 2023, when Mayers was 21 years of age.
