Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium boundary length: Pune Cricket Stadium boundary distance and ground size

The 2nd T20I of the 3-match series between India and Sri Lanka will be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Wankhede Stadium hosted a thriller, and the fans will expect something of the very same kind in the T20I match as well. This stadium is situated on the outskirts of Pune.

India will miss the services of Sanju Samson for the remainder of the series due to a knee injury. Rahul Tripathi or Washington Sundar can replace him in the side. Arshdeep Singh is also expected to come back, and it will be interesting to see who will he replace in the team.

Sri Lanka should have won the last match, and they would want to make a comeback in this match. Dasun Shanaka and Wanindu Hasaranga are the most important players of the side, and the team will rely on them yet again in this match.

MCA Stadium in Pune will be hosting a T20I match after almost three years, and interestingly India and Sri Lanka only played that match in 2020. It was one of the six venues to host the IPL 2022 matches, a total of 13 matches were played here. A black soil surface will be used in Pune.

The straight and front square boundaries are around 74m, whereas the square boundaries are around 65m. The behind of square boundaries are around 58m on both sides. So, it is clear that the batters won’t find it difficult to clear the boundary at this venue, and it will get tougher for the bowlers to bowl here.

This stadium has a seating capacity of around 37,000, and the match can be a sold-out affair. Considering the size of the boundary, and the quality of batters on both sides, this match can be a high-scoring affair. The fans can enjoy a boundary show at the venue.
