Pravin Tambe catch in CPL 2020: Watch Knight Riders' 48-year old players grabs astounding catch vs Patriots

Pravin Tambe catch: Knight Riders’ spinner continued to amaze fans across the globe with his amazing skills in CPL 2020.

During the 29th match of the ongoing eighth season of the Caribbean Premier League between Trinbago Knight Riders and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Tarouba, Trinbago Knight Riders spinner Pravin Tambe grabbed an astounding catch to defy age and dismiss St Kitts and Nevis Patriots batsman Ben Dunk.

It all happened on the third delivery of the seventh over when Dunk’s attempt to hit a reverse sweep off Knight Riders spinner Fawad Ahmed saw him top-edging the ball towards short third-man.

Tambe, who was fielding at backward point, ran to his right and eventually dived to complete the catch and become a source of amazement for fans across the globe. To add to his praiseworthy fielding effort, Tambe gave away only nine runs in four overs and dismissed Joshua Da Silva (5) to register a successful match.

Dunk, who came in to bat at No. 4 in the sixth over, ended up scoring 2 (3) and was part of Patriots’ batting collapse after their captain Rayad Emrit won the toss and chose to bat.

A comprehensive bowling performance from Trinbago bundled out St Kitts for 77 in 18.2 overs. Coming in to bat at No. 5, wicket-keeper batsman Denesh Ramdin top-scored for Patriots with 19 (18). With bowling figures of 4-0-18-4, Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers for Knight Riders.

On the back of opening batsman Tion Webster scoring 41* (33) with the help of five fours and a six, Trinbago sealed the chase in the 12th over.
