The news which made it to the headlines on Wednesday came from Goa’s Porvorim where the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s 23-year-old son, Arjun Tendulkar, smashed his maiden First-Class century on debut while playing for Goa against Rajasthan.
Arjun stitched together a 221-run partnership for the 6th wicket alongside Suyash Prabhudessai, who scored a double century – 212 off 416 balls.
He was dismissed at the score of 120 (207) off Kamlesh Nagarkoti, but not before smashing 16 Fours and 2 Sixes.
Another highlight of the day came from Hyderabad, where Narayan Jagadeesan (116*) continued batting like a dream to notch-up yet another century, in the red ball format this time around. Alongside Sai Sudharsan (87*), the duo have already posted 203/0 in the board, in reply to Hyderabad’s 395.
