"Sai Is Helping...": Twitter User Takes Hilarious Dig At Prithvi Shaw Post Sai Sudharsan Knock In IPL 2023 Final

Gujarat Titans batter Sai Sudharsan (96) played a career-best T20 innings on a night his team needed it the most. No surprises that his innings has invited some of the most priceless reactions from the ever-creative and witty fans.

Arriving to bat at No. 3 in Indian Premier League 2023 final against Chennai Super Kings, the 21-year-old batter was perhaps seeing the ball twice its size. With the help of eight fours and six sixes, the Tamil Nadu batter played at a strike rate in excess of 150 for the first time in an IPL match.

Missing out on a maiden T20 century by mere four runs, he batted at a strike rate of 204.26 to help Gujarat post a mammoth total of 214/4 on the scoreboard.

Breaking multiple records on the way, Sudharsan became the youngest batter with a 50+ score in an IPL final. He also registered the second-highest score by an uncapped batter and the third-highest by a player in an IPL final.

Twitter User Takes Hilarious Dig At Prithivi Shaw Post Sai Sudharsan Knock

Social media users came up with unique ways to congratulate Sudharsan on his stellar knock. However, one of the Twitter users perhaps drew the most hilarious analogy between him and Delhi Capitals opening batter Prithvi Shaw to have his followers go ‘rolling on the floor laughing’.

This Twitter handle (@sagarcasm) is quite popular on the platform for his witty takes on matters related to current affairs. Posting pictures of Titans skipper Hardik Pandya and Shaw side-by-side, the user captioned the grid image with the sentence – “Sai is helping only one of them”.

For those unaware, the tweet is a dig at Shaw and his devotion/belief in the revered Indian saint Sai Baba. On more than one occasion in the past, the Capitals’ batter has taken to his social media handles to express his faith in Sai Baba whenever things have gone haywire in his professional and personal life.

Pun on The Word ‘Sai’

While Sai’s (Sudharsdan) innings might help Pandya and GT lift their second consecutive IPL title in Ahmedabad tonight, the Twitter user hopes Sai (Baba) helps Shaw get through his life ordeals as well. However, hilariously, only one of them will have his wish fulfilled by the ‘Sai’ for now.
