"Sara bhabhi jaisi ho": Virat Kohli gives priceless reaction on Indore crowd's Shubman-Sara chant

India batter Shubman Gill persisted with his unabated streak of scoring runs in the third ODI against New Zealand at the Holkar Stadium on Tuesday. Gill, 23, scored his fourth ODI century in a winning effort to equal Pakistan captain Babar Azam’s record of scoring most runs in a three-match bilateral ODI series.

Highest ODI run-scorer by some margin in whatever cricket has been played this year, Gill is also the highest run-scorer in this format since he made a comeback after more than two and a half years last year. In this period, Gill has scored 1,205 runs across 18 innings at an average of 86.07 and a strike rate of 112.51.

All of Gill’s four ODI centuries and five half-centuries have come during this golden run. In addition to these crazy numbers, the fact that the right-handed batter has scored almost double the runs than Shreyas Iyer (next on the list with 684 runs in 14 innings) also speaks highly about his best phase as an international cricketer.

Gill, who comes across as a flamboyant personality on the back of snazzy social media posts and modeling assignments, is quite popular for his off the field activities as well.

Although Gill has refrained from updating his fans with respect to his love life, multiple speculations about the same qualify for being one of the worst kept secrets. Gill, who has been allegedly linked to Sara Tendulkar (daughter of legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar) and actor Sara Ali Khan, has now started to receive hilarious responses from fans in this context.

It was during last match in Indore when spectators chanted “Apni bhabhi kaisi ho, Sara bhabhi jaisi ho [Shubman’s Gill girlfriend should be like Sara]“. While Gill chose not to react to the chant whilst fielding at the boundary, former India captain Virat Kohli was seen giggling upon hearing the same.

Kohli, additionally, was also in the news yesterday for gifting teammate KL Rahul a BMW luxury car on his wedding to actor Athiya Shetty.
