Sky Cricket Commentators 2020: Who are the Sky Sports commentators for this English summer?

Sky Cricket Commentators 2020: The SportsRush present before you a list of commentators working at Sky Sports this summer.

The ongoing West Indies’ tour of England will go down as an exemplary series of cricket as it has resumed international cricket amidst the novel COVID-19 pandemic. Having paved way for others to follow, England Cricket Board’s trailblazing efforts are likely to witness the sport resuming in other countries as well.

Currently drawn level at 1-1, the series seems to be drifting towards the hosts at this point in time. It would require a mountainous effort from the visitors if they wish to retain the Wisden Trophy on the back of a drawn series.

The three-match Test series is being telecast by Sky Sports and BBC. Much like BBC’s star-studded commentary panel, Sky Sports also have an equally popular commentary panel. It is worth mentioning that it is Star Sports’ feed which is televised by the Sony Network in India.

Former England captains in Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussain, former England batsmen in David Lloyd and Robert Key, former England Women’s batter Ebony Rainford-Brent and former West Indies fast bowlers in Michael Holding and Ian Bishop are the voices which are constantly heard on Sky Sports this summer.

Given the biosecurity protocols, even the commentators are required to be part of the bio-secure bubble to ensure that everyone involved in the vicinity of the players remains virus-free.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan, who is a part of BBC’s commentary panel, had earlier posted a video of reaching the commentary box from his hotel room within a minute on his Instagram handle.

Considering the deprivation of cricket among fans around the globe and an unusual atmosphere inside the stadiums, the presence of these aforementioned high-profile names have sure made cricket-watching experience an enthralling one.

What followed for an 8-year-old was an instant adulation for both Ganguly and the sport. The optimist in him is waiting for the day when Punjab Kings will win their maiden Indian Premier League title. When not watching cricket, he is mostly found in a cinema hall watching a Punjabi movie.
