Sydney Showground Stadium pitch report today BBL 12 match: THU vs HEA pitch report batting or bowling

Sydney Thunder will take on Brisbane Heat in the league game of Big Bash League at the Sydney Showground Stadium in Sydney. The home side is in terrible form at the moment, and the last time they played here, the bowlers of the Adelaide Strikers completely dominated them.

After winning their first match, Sydney Thunder have now lost three games on the trot. Apart from Alex Hales, the rest of the batters have failed to impress, whereas the bowlers have also been average. With Jason Sangha injured, the batting of the side again looks a little weak.

Brisbane Heat registered their first win of the season in the last match, and they would want to pounce upon the momentum. Sam Billings and Max Bryant were brilliant last time around. The bowling unit of this side looks excellent, but they will miss James Bazley in this match.

Sydney Showground Stadium pitch report today BBL 12 match

Sydney Showground Stadium in Sydney will be hosting its 2nd game of the ongoing BBL season. The first match of the season was a record-breaking one where the home side got out on a record total of 15 runs. It was clear that there is a lot of seam movement on this track.

However, the last match can be seen as an exception as this is generally a really good track to bat on. In the last season, a total of 4 BBL games were played here where the average 1st innings score was 172 runs, and three of the matches were won by the teams batting first.

There is a lot of bounce on this track, and the pacers will again enjoy their time in the initial overs of the match, considering the quality of pacers on both sides, it can be a great contest between bat and the ball. One side of the boundary is small, and the outfield is fast as well on this ground. Considering the previous records, both captains may opt to bat upon winning the toss.
