Thiruvananthapuram Stadium pitch report 3rd ODI: Greenfield International Stadium pitch report batting or bowling

The 3rd ODI of the 3-match series between India and Sri Lanka will be played at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Team India will be looking to complete a whitewash in this match, whereas the Sri Lankan team will play for respect here.

India won the last match and sealed the series, where KL Rahul played a really good knock as an anchor on a slow wicket. The batters of the side are looking in great rhythm, and they would want to continue. Kuldeep Yadav again impressed everyone, and it is to be seen whether he will play this game or not if Yuzvendra Chahal gets fit.

The struggle of Sri Lanka in ODIs is continued in this series as well, and they are far from their best. There is certainly a lot of talent in this game, and Nuwanidu Fernando showed in the last match that he has a good future with the side.

Thiruvananthapuram Stadium pitch report 3rd ODI

Greenfield International Stadium has been a terrible surface for the batters so far, and the bowlers have dominated on this very track. This stadium hosted a T20I between India and South Africa last year, and it was purely dominated by the bowlers of both sides.

Just a single ODI match has been played at this ground, and it was between India and West Indies in 2018. West Indies got all out for just 104 runs in that match. In the initial overs, the pacers will be able to swing the ball, and the surface gets slow later on bringing the spinners of both sides into play.

The boundaries of the stadium are not that huge, and the batters can play their shots after getting their eyes set. A slow surface can be expected for this match, but looking at the dew, both captains would aim to chase upon winning the toss here in Thiruvananthapuram.
