Weather forecast at Southampton: The SportsRush presents for you the detailed weather prediction for IND vs NZ WTC Final 2021.

The final match of the ongoing inaugural ICC World Test Championship will be played between India and New Zealand in Southampton. Starting from tomorrow, the match will conclude a two-year long, first of its kind, tournament in Test cricket.

In what will be their second final in as many years of a world event in England, Kane Williamson’s New Zealand would be hoping to lift the trophy on this occasion. India, on the other hand, have also been short of ICC trophies in the recent years and would want to return to winning ways with respect to taking back the cup home.

Weather forecast at Southampton today

The last thing which all stakeholders must be hoping for ahead of such an iconic match is for rain to not play spoilsport in Southampton. Given the current weather and the forecast for tomorrow, things don’t appear very bright.

It is worth mentioning that it is raining at the moment over the Ageas Bowl. As far as the weather forecast for Day 1 of the match is concerned, the first session has a rain probability ranging between 47% – 51% according to AccuWeather.

While the rain probability is expected to reduce by a small margin in the second session, it will once again jump up to >50% towards the last two hours of the day. In addition to the rain probability, climate will most likely remain cloudy as thunderstorms are most likely to make their presence felt throughout the day.

Therefore, it wouldn’t be a surprise if a lot of overs are lost on such a cloudy and cold day in Southampton. In such a situation, the scheduled sixth day of the match might come into play especially of rain continues to pour on subsequent days as well.
