Weather forecast in Southampton: What is the weather prediction for England vs Ireland Ageas Bowl ODI?

Weather forecast in Southampton: The SportsRush presents for you the detailed weather prediction for the first ENG vs IRE ODI.

After successfully hosting West Indies for a three-match Test series, England are now all set to host Ireland for a three-match ODI series starting from tomorrow in Southampton.

The first ODI at the Ageas Bowl will also commence the recently announced ICC Cricket World Cup Super League which will see teams playing to qualify for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

In what will be the first ODI in England after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 last year, it will be the second series as a captain for Ireland’s Andrew Balbirnie.

Considering the tight schedule this summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic, England will take field without some of their mainstays in ODIs namely Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Chris Woakes and Mark Wood.

While Ireland would be looking to bank on this advantage, the English players playing this series would be keen to cement their places in the absence of the aforementioned names. It was earlier this week that England had handed comebacks to five players in their 14-man ODI squad for Ireland ODIs.

Weather forecast in Southampton

Unlike the Test series in which each match got affected by rain, weather gods seem to be on the players’ side for the ODI series. Talking precisely about tomorrow’s match, the weather is highly likely to be sunny and delightful throughout the day.

Slated to begin at 2 PM (local time), the match will be played in mostly sunny weather with a temperature of about 19 degrees to 24 degrees. Therefore, expect a proper 100-over ODI match as the format returns after more than four months.
