Who won the toss today AUS vs IND: Who will open for Australia in pink-ball Adelaide Test?

Who will open for Australia: Australia have restrained from making fancy changes to their Playing XI for the first Test against India.

During the first day of the first Test of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia in Adelaide, India captain Virat Kohli has won the toss and chose to bat.

“Going to have a bat. Looks a nice wicket. Runs on the board is priceless, more so away from home. Hope we can put pressure on them. We’ve prepared really well. Couple of tour games as well. We had everything clear on our end, that’s why we announced our team yesterday.

“The evening sessions are going to be more challenging. Few changes here and there. But this is a different challenge. For me it’s all about helping the team win, whatever contribution I make. Wouldn’t go out of my way to make an impact just because I’m playing one Test,” Kohli told Fox Sports at the toss.

With India already announcing their Playing XI yesterday, nothing from the combination-perspective from expected from the visitors.

Been vocal about the prospect of batsman Matthew Wade opening the batting alongside Joe Burns and all-rounder Cameron Green making a Test debut, Australia captain Tim Paine confirmed the same during the toss.

“[Cameron] Green comes in obviously. Joe Burns holds his place. Matthew Wade will open. Message has been to keep things as simple as we can. We know what’s expected, so just have to come out here and execute our plans. Happy to be bowling actually. Would’ve liked to bat first, but the first session always has something in the wicket,” Paine told Fox Sports at the toss.
