It is a well-known fact that Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is an admirer of Portugal’s footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. He has revealed many times in various interviews how Ronaldo inspires him to work hard and keep his fitness levels in order to reach greater heights with increasing age.

Qatar is hosting the ongoing FIFA World Cup, where Portugal got ruled out of the tournament after their quarter-final defeat against Morocco. The Portuguese team was the favourite to win the match, but they lost by 1-0. For the 2nd time in a row, Ronaldo started the match from the bench, and he came in as a substitute in the 51st minute.

It would have been a difficult sight for any football fan to see Ronaldo leaving the field sobbing in tears. It is well-known how much is Ronaldo dedicated to playing international football with Portugal. When Portugal won the Euro Cup, Ronaldo suffered an injury, but he still was at his feet to support his team from the sidelines.

Virat Kohli expresses admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo

Virat Kohli has posted a heartfelt message for his sporting idol after Portugal’s exit from the tournament. He said that no trophies or records can define the legacy that Ronaldo has created during his career. He called Ronaldo a gift of god and called him the Greatest of all time.

“A real blessing to a man who plays his heart out every single time and is the epitome of hard work and dedication and a true inspiration for any sportsperson. You are for me the greatest of all time,” Virat Kohli tweeted.

Ronaldo recently gained a lot of highlights and criticism after his recent interview with Piers Morgan. After the interview, Ronaldo was terminated from his Manchester United contract. Ronaldo announced that this World Cup was his last one, and he is still searching for a football club as well. So, nothing can be said that when Ronaldo will play his next competitive game.
