Team India will take on hosts Bangladesh in the third and final match of the ODI series today (Saturday), at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

After a one-wicket loss during the first ODI, team India bowed down before the much lower-ranked Bangladesh in the second ODI as well by 5 runs, to have already lost the series 0-2. They have now lost their second consecutive ODI series against Bangladesh.
While it has been a collective team performance by the Litton Das-led side in the two matches so far, the stand out performer has been a certain Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

While he snatched victory from India’s jaw’s during the first ODI by stitching a half-century stand alongside Mustafizur Rahman for the 10th wicket, the 25-year-old then followed it up by a maiden ODI century, at a time when his team was tottering at 69/6 at one stage.
Team India, on the other hand, have no option but to play for pride as they continue to battle through injury concerns within the contingent. Skipper Rohit Sharma, Deepak Chahar, and Kuldeep Sen have been ruled out of the final ODI due to respective injuries, with KL Rahul to lead the side today.

The Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram will host its first ODI match after almost a 10-month gap, and its 24th ODI overall, with Afghanistan defeating the hosts during the last ODI played here in February.
The ground size of this stadium in Chattogram is 186 m X 136 m, with the straighter and square boundary dimensions ranging from 60-70 metres from the centre-pitch.
Post the final match of the series today, the Chattogram Stadium will also host the first Test match between these two teams, from December 14 (Wednesday) – December 18 (Sunday).
