Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is absolutely furious with Real Madrid’s start to the season. The defending champions drew two matches and then lost their home match against Real Betis after conceding a last minute goal at the Bernabeu.

Ronaldo, who was starting his first La Liga match of the season, was unable to exert much influence in the match. He even missed a glorious opportunity to put Madrid ahead, as he skied a one-on-one with the goal keeper.

The Real Madrid boss defended his star man’s performance though, and felt that his team was unlucky on the day.

This is what Zidane said after the match,

“No [complaints], nothing.”

On the contrary, quite the contrary.

“We are happy to have Cristiano with us and for him to be in the team.”

“This is football, when the ball just did not want to go in, this can happen.”

“We had 26 or 27 chances, today the ball did not want to go in, especially here, in our home stadium.”

“I love this word, tranquility. We are going to have tranquility.”

“We will be calm.”

Ronaldo though blamed Zidane for Real’s early season troubles. The Portuguese superstar wanted Zidane to change his tactics, as he felt that they were becoming too predictable and easy to play against.

Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos, was also very unhappy with their start so far and have realized that they will need to change something very soon.

Barcelona’s great start has made it even worse for Real, as they will need to pull up their socks if they need to come back into the title race.
