Cristiano Ronaldo and Renato Sanches were key architects in Portugal’s conquest of the Euro’s back in 2016. Ronaldo won the Silver boot for his 3 goals and 3 assists. Sanches was awarded the young player of the tournament award for his phenomenal showing. He was named above Kingsley Coman and Portugal teammate Raphaël Guerreiro and even earned him a move to Bayern Munich.

The move however, did not yield the expected results as he would have desired and he’s now been shifted out to Lille. The youngster has a chance to bring he’s career back on track through another phenomenal showing at Europe’s showpiece event.

This is probably Ronaldo’s swansong Euro championship and the team will hope to send him off with a successful defence of their title.
