Cristiano Ronaldo interview: In an interview, Cristiano Ronaldo has named one Manchester United footballer he would love to play with, again.

Ronaldo signed for Juventus earlier this summer in a stunning 100 million euros tranfer from Real Madrid. The Portuguese forward is enjoying life in Turin at the moment, as he has been key to another strong start from Juventus this campaign.

The Italian side is yet unbeaten in the league, with only one draw so far. In the Champions League, Juventus have won all of their games and will now face Manchester United for the return leg in the group stages.

At Old Trafford, Juventus overcame Jose Mourinho’s side 1-0, with Paolo Dybala’s goal making the difference on the night.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who played for Manchester United for six seasons, talked about Manchester United and the one player he would love to play with again, in an interview with Goalhanger films.

Cristiano Ronaldo interview:

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he would love to share the field again with former Manchester United star, Wayne Rooney.

The duo played together during their time at Manchester United for five years, winning three Premier League titles and a Champions League title in 2008.

Ronaldo praised Rooney for his mentality and strength, and revealed that he used to call him ‘the pitbull’ for his energy.

“For me the power of Wayne Rooney is his mentality and strength,” Ronaldo said.

“He never stops, he always runs, helps the team. He’s a fantastic team player and he scores goals. He scored important goals, for me he’s fantastic.

“I used to call him, between me and my mates, the pit bull. I remember when he lost the ball he was so powerful, a strong guy, he shoots unbelievable.”

Ronaldo stated that he misses playing with Rooney and hopes that the two of them will play together again.

“He scored many goals, what can I say? I miss playing with him. The future nobody knows. Maybe we’ll play one day together again.”

What next?

While we’ll have to wait to see if Ronaldo and Rooney get the opportunity to play together again, Rooney will definitely reunite with his former United teammates.

The English forward will make a comeback to England’s national team for the one-off friendly against the USA. The English Football Association prepares to bid their all-time highest goalscorer a grand farewell, as the match will take place at Wembley Stadium.
