CSK vs KKR Dream 11 Prediction: Dream 11 Fantasy Tips for CSK vs KKR as The SportsRush helps you form the best possible Dream 11 team

KKR travel to the Chennai den for a top of the table clash. Riding on the back of ‘Russellmania’, KKR have been able to scrape past the line in almost all games that they have featured in. The last one against RR was a stroll in the park though for KKR, as the bowling unit restricted Rajasthan to a below par total, one that was blown away by the Lynn-Narine partnership in the powerplay.

CSK are kings of their den and do not let many teams take the attack to them whilst playing at the Chepauk. Their team setup allows them to succeed in Chennai, but with the kind of spinners that KKR have, they too have the recipe to win any game in Chennai.

Now, dew is supposed to play a massive role in the game on Tuesday, and the team bowling second could be in for a long night. The last time these two sides faced each other in Chennai, 400 runs were scored with the in-form Andre Russell scoring 88 in 36 balls with 11 sixes.

Let’s get to business now.

CSK vs KKR Dream 11 Prediction

Wicketkeeper for CSK vs KKR Dream 11

For the wicketkeeping slot, it is going to be a direct shootout between MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik. While generally I have gone in with top order wicketkeepers, this time I come across two wicketkeepers who bat in the middle order. So, I am going to go with the one in form, especially when both these players are worth the same amount(9 cr).

MS Dhoni has been in brilliant form for CSK this season, helping the team to a respectable total in the last game as well against KXIP. He has been taking the game deep, just like in his hay day, showing that he once again feels comfortable in what he does out in the middle. Get him in.

Bowlers for CSK vs KKR Dream 11

Imran Tahir has been CSK’s lynchpin with the ball this season, spinning a web around batsmen with his trickery and guile. With KKR having 5 right handers in their top 7, Tahir could very well run through that middle order, especially if CSK bowl first and dew does not play a major role.

Harbhajan Singh has played two games at the Chepauk and has been adjudged the man of the match in both those games. Fancy him against Narine in the powerplay and against Rana during the middle phase. With the Chennai track still offering a lot of assistance to the spinners, Bhajji can be a lethal weapon on Tuesday.

For the final pick for this game, I get in India’s premier limited overs spinner, Kuldeep Yadav. Kuldeep did not start the IPL very strong, going away for runs and not picking up wickets. However, since that last over against Colin Ingram in the game vs DC, Kuldeep has gotten his confidence back and has been threatening the batsmen more often than not. On a track that should help him, Kuldeep can wreak havoc. Get him in.

All-Rounders for CSK vs KKR Dream 11

Andre Russell would be my first pick for this game for obvious reasons. The way that he has lit up the 2019 IPL, it would be foolish on our part to leave him out. Close your eyes and press that select button.

Sunil Narine hit form with the bat in the last game, making a mockery of that RR total with some vintage Narine shots in the powerplay. He has been very stingy with the ball too and while he hasn’t taken bucketloads of wickets this season, a good 3 wicket haul is just round the corner. And what better place to do it than in Chennai.

Batsmen for CSK vs KKR Dream 11

With Dream 11 tilting a little towards batsmen with their points system, I have decided to bring in 5 batsmen for this game.

Robin Uthappa and Nitish Rana have shouldered responsibility of setting the game up for Andre Russell. While their work has largely gone unnoticed because of Russell’s brilliance, we as fantasy managers need to value them, as they have been scoring 30 odd in every game. Both these batsmen are good players of spin and should be able to feature well against the spin trio of CSK. On current form, you should get them both in.

With KKR having two leg spinners, the one CSK batsmen that should find it relatively easy against them is Suresh Raina. He has threatened to break free and take the game away from oppositions this season but hasn’t really been able to do so. Amongst Watson, Rayudu and himself, he has looked like the best possible Dream 11 pick and with the kind of record he has at the Chepauk, I would want to go with him over any other CSK batsman.

Kedar Jadhav has been playing the finisher’s role to perfection for CSK this season, scoring that lone 50 in the game against MI. Dhoni hasn’t been using him whilst bowling but if he does, Kedar could be useful in that role too. Amongst the CSK batsmen on offer, after Raina, Jadhav would be the second one I put the most amount of trust in.

For the final pick for this game, I would be getting in the in-form Faf du Plessis, who played a wonderful innings of 54 in the last game vs KXIP. Going by current form, I put my my faith in Faf.

Captain: Andre Russell

Vice-Captain: Sunil Narine
