RCB post amazing message for fans before IPL 2019

RCB post amazing message for fans before IPL 2019: Royal Challengers Bangalore are on their way to Chennai for IPL 2019 opening match.

Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore are on their way to Chennai to face defending champions Chennai Super Kings in the first match of the 12th season of the IPL. Slated to be played on March 23 (Saturday), Royal Challengers posted a video for their fans before leaving Bengaluru.

Coming on the back of a two-year ban in the IPL, Chennai Super Kings ended up registering their third IPL title in the last season. It is the reason why the first match of this season will be played at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Given the opposition, it calls for a riveting contest between the two teams who comprise of the South Indian Derby. Moreover, with Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli leading CSK and RCB respectively, there is not an iota of doubt that the match will be one of the most followed contests in the tournament.

With the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) opting against an Opening Ceremony for this season, both the teams taking the field on Saturday will be the first signs of action in IPL 2019.

It is praiseworthy of the BCCI to have managed to conduct the full tournament in India itself. With the General Elections in the country coinciding with IPL 2019, there were significant chances of the tournament being shifted out of the country.

BCCI had initially announced the schedule for only 17 matches. Once the election schedule was made public, the cricket board also put forward the full schedule of the tournament.
