David De Gea: PSG make offer to replace Buffon with Manchester United star

David De Gea: PSG make offer to replace outgoing Gianluigi Buffon with Manchester United star De Gea amid transfer speculations this summer.

PSG are set to make a heavy offer for Manchester United starlet David De Gea, as Gianluigi Buffon has left Parc Des Princes yesterday.

Thus, according to a report by the Times, PSG are considering to boost their pursuit for De Gea, as the French club seeks to bolster their goalkeeping department ahead of the next season.

On the other side, the Spanish goalkeeper has failed to pen a new deal with Manchester United, as he enters into the last year of his current contract.

The Red Devils are not ready to meet the skyrocketing demands made by the 28-year-old goalkeeper, thus it has thwarted the negotiations between the both parties.

Whereas, PSG are ready to take care of his demand, in order to hire his services amidst the transfer window. Additionally, De Gea is out of contract next summer and can sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs from January.

Although, Kevin Trapp is coming back to Les Parisiens after a season long spell at Frankfurt, but PSG are planning to drop both Trapp and Alphonse Areola lower in the pecking order, and make De Gea as the first choice goalkeeper from the following season.

Manchester United would be compelled to offload De Gea from the Old Trafford next season, since he is in the last year of his contract. Thus, the Red Devils would opt to send him at a decent price, instead of losing him for free next year.

However, amidst all the speculations, it is yet to know, where this transfer will end in coming days.
