DC vs RR Dream11 Prediction: Best Dream11 team for today’s DC vs RR match | IPL News as TSR helps you form the best Dream 11 team
We are into the final 4 games of the IPL 2019 league phase, with 5 teams in the mix for that final playoff spot. While RR is in that mid table rut, DC are vying for a top two finish, in order to get two shots at the cherry in the playoff phase.
RR though have been handicapped by that washed out game in Bangalore, as they can only go up to a maximum of 13 points, with others teams having the chance of reaching 14 points by the end of the weekend.
So, their fate is not entirely in their hands, and they’ll need a favour from RCB, CSK and MI to go through to the playoffs.
RR are also a little short on firepower, as Steve Smith too has flown back to Australia to prepare for the ICC 2019 World Cup. They now need to depend on their reserves to take them through to the playoffs and then maybe help them lift that elusive IPL title.

DC on the other hand have been hit with an injury blow ahead of the playoffs, with Rabada ruled out due to a back problem. Trent Boult will need to step up to the plate and help DC get over the line during crunch situations.
Let’s get to business now.
DC vs RR Dream11 Prediction
Wicketkeeper for DC vs RR Dream11
For the wicketkeeping slot for DC vs RR Dream11, I am going to have to choose between two of the most promising wicket keeper batsmen in the country. Sanju Samson has been brilliant this season, but has been so in patches. Rishabh Pant too has been a little inconsistent, but has been in good form in the last few games.
While Pant bats in the middle order, I still go in with him, because playing on his home turf, he should be able to make a better impact. Also, with DC sticking to him at number 4, he is going to get a good number of balls to make the desired impact.
With a very objective view, I feel Pant is a bigger impact player than Samson, and has been a little more consistent than Samson. Thus, I get him in.
Bowlers for DC vs RR Dream11
Shreyas Gopal has been RR’s biggest hope with the ball this season, especially after the departure of Jofra Archer. Even on flat surfaces, he has managed to bamboozle the batsmen with his trickery. On current form, he should be your number one bowling pick for this game, especially considering the fact that the Kotla surface is known to assist the spinners.
Sandeep Lamichanne would be my second choice for the game, with DC always bringing him in for the games at Kotla. And when he plays, he helps DC get a good hold on the game, as his trickery is a little too good for the batsmen. On a sluggish Kotla track, get him in for sure.
For the final bowling pick, I will be getting in Varun Aaron, who has developed this amazing in swinger this season, putting the batsmen under pressure during the powerplay overs. He is also getting to bowl at least one over at the death and amongst the 8.5cr bowlers, he is currently in the best possible form.
All-Rounders for DC vs RR Dream11
Axar Patel has silently been doing the dirty work for DC in the middle overs. He has been picking up wickets at regular intervals, keeping things tight and then sometimes using the long handle to good effect with the bat as well. With 201 Dream 11 points to his name, Axar Patel could be that trump card that not a lot of other Fantasy managers would invest in, but could come in really handy.
Chris Morris has been a little hot and cold this season, and could even be left out of the game against RR on Saturday afternoon, but if he plays, I would get him in for sure, as his role in the DC team gives him ample opportunities to get those Dream 11 points. He bowls at the death and bats at number 6, which I think should be enough to warrant a place in your Dream11 Fantasy side. If he is left out, you could experiment with Boult, as he would be taking up the death bowling duties for DC in the absence of Kagiso Rabada.
Batsmen for DC vs RR Dream11
Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer walk into my team, as he they have marshalled the DC batting unit all through the season, recognising when to play the anchor’s role and when to explode. They have 344 and 317 Dream 11 points respectively and have been in good form going into this game as well.
Ajinkya Rahane has rediscovered his hitting ability in the last few games, ever since he was stripped off the captaincy. Now, he should be handed that back for Saturday’s game, but riding on that form, I think he would be amongst the runs again, especially against a Rabada-less DC.
For the final two batting picks, I get in Prithvi Shaw and Livingstone, considering that opening batsmen have the best chance of scoring on that sluggish surface in Delhi. Both Shaw and Livingstone have been decent with the bat at the top of the order and I feel are the best possible options from the remaining choices that I have.
Captain: Shikhar Dhawan
Vice-Captain: Shreyas Iyer
