Sunrisers Hyderabad will consider themselves extremely lucky to have become the first team in the history of the IPL to qualify with 12 points. They will be taking on the Delhi Capitals who will be disappointed to not finish in the top 2 despite getting to 18 points. Vizag will play host to the Eliminator which will big one of these teams goodbye for this season of the IPL.
FORM GUIDE
Delhi Capitals ended the league stage with 18 points and have won 4 of their last 5 matches. They will be confident, in spite of the absence of Kagiso Rabada, that they would be able to get the better of SRH. Their batting with the strong Indian top order has fired and they would expect them to continue the same way. Bowlers will also have to step up and deliver again.
Sunrisers have had a rough run ever since Warner and Bairstow left. They have lost 4 of their last 5 matches and would hope for the law of averages to catch up and take them to Qualifier 2. Their batsmen need to fire and their bowlers need to be much more disciplined if SRH are to have a chance against the flying Capitals.
TEAM CHANGES
The Delhi Capitals are coming off a crushing victory against Rajasthan Royals and they would not like to try too many things their winning combination. We can expect the Capitals to go into this match with the same team which played the last match since it has both batting and bowling depth.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have lost many of their players and they probably don’t have the option of making too many changes.

However, after Yusuf Pathan’s pathetic performance with the bat and on the field where he dropped many chances, he is likely to face the axe and probably bring an end to a long and successful IPL career. Deepak Hooda might be recalled into the team in his place.
PITCH AND WEATHER PREDICTION
This will be the first match of this IPL at Vishakhapatnam. Going by the recent trends, the venue has been witness to several low-scoring matches in both T20I and IPL. With the average total finding itself in the mid-140s, expect the bowlers to dictate terms tomorrow as well.
What further highlights the aforementioned is the impressive numbers registered by both pacers and spinners at the venue. Not that the batsmen haven’t had their say at Vizag, the same has a far lesser possibility.
The temperature will remain around 31°C throughout the match. With Vizag being close to the sea, humidity will be high at 70% and there will be a significant cloud cover throughout the match.
Overcast conditions mean that dew will not play a major role and that is what we want in such an important match since it will be a fair match. Unfortunately, there is a small chance that we may have some rainfall during the match. However, the chances are minute.
TOSS PREDICTION
With the conditions not changing much, the toss should not be of much significance. Having said that, both teams would want to chase since bowling first would give both the teams an idea of how the pitch is behaving and the target can be chased after a proper assessment of how the pitch is holding up. This is especially important considering it is the first match on this ground.
