Divock Origi goal vs Barcelona: Liverpool forward scores poacher’s goal to put Liverpool up on the night and give the home team some hope
Divock Origi was present at the right place at the right time to put the ball into the back of the net and hand Liverpool a lead on the night.
Barcelona started the game on the front foot, with Messi driving with the ball in the initial stages and taking the attack to the opposition. Liverpool though were up to the task, with the midfield and centre backs soaking up the pressure and releasing Mane on the wings whenever possible.
In the lead up to the goal, Henderson made a good run through the middle, before attempting a shot on goal, one that was nicely parried away by Ter Stegen.
However, the ball then landed into the feet of Origi, who was up to the task and put the ball into the empty net.

Liverpool are playing without Firmino and Salah in this game, as both forwards had been ruled out of the game because of injury. However, Klopp made it very clear to the world that they were going to approach this game with the same vigour and passion. And just hope that things go their way. The initial exchange has and could pave way for one of the greatest nights at Anfield.
