However, it was similar until Liverpool’s Belgian hero came for the rescue of the club, who was also crucial against Barcelona. The striker netted past the ball in the 88th minute of the game after a tussle because of a corner inside Tottenham’s box. The Belgian International placed the ball in the far-corner of the goal making it impossible for Hugo Lloris to save it.

Thus, in the end, Liverpool were able to defeat their opponents and won the highest prize of Europe after 13 year of wait.
