The West Indian played a pivotal role in CSK’s successful campaign this year.
Chennai Super Kings enjoyed a fairy-tale return to the IPL this season. The MS Dhoni-led Chennai side beat Sunrisers Hyderabad to lift their third IPL title. Shane Watson scored a century in the final as CSK eased past the Hyderabad side by 8 wickets.

This victory was special for Chennai fans as they awaited CSK’s return for two years. Even after their return to IPL, CSK’s matches were shifted from Chennai owing to a state dispute. MS Dhoni’s men were ridiculed during the auctions for being “too old” to play in the fast-paced T20 game.
But CSK proved its critics wrong and showed that experience counts at all levels.
CSK’s West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, who set the opening of the tournament on fire with a match-winning innings against Mumbai Indians, took to Twitter to express his joy on the win.
Bravo has played a key role in CSK’s campaign this season. He took key wickets and proved to be handy with the bat whenever his services were required.
