Eden Hazard contract situation: Chelsea star Eden Hazard opens up on his new deal with Chelsea and his experience under Maurizio Sarri.
Eden Hazard has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid throughout the summer. Before the World Cup in Russia, Hazard spoke in length about playing for Real Madrid, stating that the Spanish giants would be his ‘preferred club.’ He also said that Real Madrid knows what they needed to do to sign him this season.
There was, however, no offer on the table from Real Madrid. The Los Blancos acquired the services of another Belgian superstar, Thibaut Courtois, instead.

Hazard made a terrific start to his new season at Chelsea, scoring six goals in seven appearances so far. The Belgian also scored the winner against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup fixture earlier this week.
The Belgian international, however, is yet to sign a new contract with the club. He was asked about the possibility of a new deal after the match against Liverpool.
Meanwhile…. Lopetegui’s Real Madrid are losing 3-0 away at Sevilla. Move for Hazard in January?

“I haven’t signed a contract. Not yet. Not yet,” said Eden Hazard.
Hazard has not shown discontent over staying at Chelsea so far, but his current form is bound to attract interest from clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona. The Belgian’s current deal with the club expires in 2020, and failure in agreeing on a new deal would complicate the situation for Chelsea in the next summer transfer window.
Real Madrid and Barcelona, both have endured a tough outing in the mid-week fixtures of La Liga this week. While Barcelona suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to bottom-placed Leganes, Real Madrid were outclassed 3-0 by Sevilla.
