The Belgian has been long linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Juventus has opened the doors for Eden Hazard to make a move to Real Madrid. Hazard has long been linked with Real Madrid, and the speculations have gathered pace this summer

Chelsea may have had a managerial change, with Sarri replacing Antonio Conte, but Eden Hazard seems firm on his exit, according to reports. The Belgian earlier stated that he prefers Real Madrid, and the club knows what to do to sign him.

With Ronaldo’s departure, Real Madrid have also been actively linked with players like Hazard, Mbappe and Brazil star Neymar. However, the club confirmed in a statement yesterday that there hasn’t been a bid for the Brazilian forward yet.

Now, former Denmark and Chelsea player Brian Laudrup states that the deal between Eden Hazard and Real Madrid is as good as done.

“I spoke to Eden Hazard a few days ago, he is preparing for a move to Real Madrid and it is a good move both for him and for Real,” Laudrup said in an interview with beIN Sport.

Roberto Martinez, Belgium’s manager, earlier said in an interview that Eden Hazard would complement Real Madrid’s playing style. “It’s a very easy question for me, he is one of the most complete footballers in the modern game now,” said Martinez.

“Everyone speaks about footballers and about what they can do on the pitch, and rightly so it is very easy to assess what Eden Hazard does on the pitch,” the Spanish manager added.

Chelsea will not be playing in the Champions League this season as the club finished fifth in the Premier League last season. This further complicates the situation for Eden Hazard as well as his Belgian counterpart Thibaut Courtois, who is also linked with a move to Real Madrid.
