Eden Hazard Transfer News: Real Madrid respond to Chelsea's £130 million demand for Blues star

Real Madrid have responded to Chelsea’s 130 million demand to land Eden Hazard.

The saga between Eden Hazard and Real Madrid will not stop as it has been running over the last year. The Los Blancos is eyed as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo at Santiago Bernabeu and had a bid turned down in 2018 summer. Maurizio Sarri insisted him to stay put at the club for one more year.

Since the English side has been hit with a transfer ban and a long term injury to Callum Hudson Odoi, who is viewed as Hazard’s replacement through the left flank, has forced the club to battle to keep him at any cost. Despite all these reports, Real Madrid will bid for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard in the summer transfer window, according to the Telegraph.

The Los Blancos do not expect the Belgian to do any favour should the Blues capture the Europa League at Baku. Hazard will make what is anticipated to be his final Chelsea appearance against Arsenal, with Real keen to reopen negotiations.

The hopes of an easy deal being struck with Chelsea have vanished for Real Madrid. The Blues are continuously playing hardball for his signature by demanding a fee of £130 million in the summer transfer window. However, Zinedine Zidane’s side has told that they will be able to pay £88 million only.

This means that the Los Blancos are ready for hard negotiations for his signature, although they remain positive to wrap the deal in the summer transfer window. Hazard has already turned down three new contracts at Stamford Bridge and has told the club that he would like to move to Real Madrid even if they try to hold him to the final year of his deal.

Despite the fact Hazard has made his preference clear to the club, team-mates Willian and Pedro claim to have no inside dressing-room knowledge of where the forward will be playing next season.

“It’s difficult to say anything about this situation because we don’t know what will happen, but what I can say is that if he goes then I will be very sad,” said Willian.

Pedro added: “I don’t know [about Hazard’s future]. The most important thing is to focus on the team, the result, and get the trophy.”

What’s next?

Chelsea will play Arsenal in the Europa League finals at Baku on May 29. The negotiations will take place after this game as the Belgian had expressed his desire to move to Real Madrid.
