Luis Suarez scored Barcelona’s third goal of the night with a superb panenka penalty at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Barcelona proceeded to the final of the Copa del Rey with a thumping 3-0 win over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Luis Suarez opened the goalscoring in the second half and an unfortunate own goal from Raphael Varane doubled Barca’s lead.
The Catalan side was awarded a penalty in the closing stages of the game and Luis Suarez scored it with composure, as he attempted the panenka.
He sent the goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois the wrong way as he completed his brace in the game. It was his 11th goal against Real Madrid across all competitions, ever since joining Barcelona in 2014.
Barca will meet one of Valencia and Real Betis in the final of the cup competition.
Real and Barcelona will meet each other again this weekend at the same place, as both the sides fight for the top spot in the La Liga. Barcelona are comfortably ahead of Real Madrid in the league at the moment.

FC Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3-0 in the 2nd leg of the Copa Del Rey semi-finals today! Luis Suárez scored his 11th goal in a Clásico i think, and this should be the 5th time that he scored the 1-0. #Football #Soccer #FCBarcelona #Barca pic.twitter.com/ORWpJgvP50

Finalists once again. 🥳
Barcelona record the largest aggregate win in a Copa del Rey tie between themselves and Real Madrid since 1958-59 — when Luis Suarez the elder also scored two goals, including a penalty, in the second leg.#ElClasico pic.twitter.com/uSF1KhOYZh

1,178 days since Barcelona were knocked out the Copa del Rey. That’s four years, 10 months and 11 days. That’s a while.

“Suarez is fat. Suarez is slow. Suarez ruins all of our attacks. Suarez brings nothing to this team. Suarez needs to be sold.”

Luis Suárez is so difficult to explain.
How he goes from not being able to finish his supper to banging in a double in a Clásico is crazy.
He is crazy, crazy fucking good. pic.twitter.com/V3cK176sQD
