ENG vs IRE Dream11 Prediction: England vs Ireland 1st ODI – 30 July 2020 (Southampton)

Hosts England will take on Ireland in the 1st ODI match of the Historic ODI series. This is the first limited-overs series after the COVID-19 pandemic and this promises to be a really great game to watch out.

Hosts will miss their major players such as Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Jos Butler, etc in the series as they are the part of the red-ball squad but England possesses a brilliant white-ball squad and they would like to dominate from ball one. The likes of Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, and Eoin Morgan can dismantle any bowling line-up in the world and they would certainly like to dominate in the game.

Ireland have played some decent cricket in the past but they have not beaten England since the 2011 Cricket World Cup. Ireland have some experienced campaigners and they can give a debut to two of their very good talents in this game. Harry Tector and Curtis Campher are expected to make their debuts in this game. Ireland will miss their best ODI bowler Mark Adair but have some really good young players in their ranks.

England would definitely want to dominate in their own backyard and they possess a really strong squad.

Roy is one of the best white-ball players in the world of cricket and on his day, he can take any game away singled handed on his own, Roy has to be a part of the team whereas Morgan is also a classic white-ball player and his batting technique is next to none, He will bat at number 4 and is a must pick in our side.

He performed well with the bat in the practice games and he is a genuine wicket-taking bowler as well whereas Curran has emerged as a limited-overs specialist throughout the world. His ability to bowl yorkers makes him a brilliant death-bowler and he will definitely emerge in the wicket-taking column.

From England, Adil Rashid and David Willey will make it into our team. He will try to take wickets in the powerplay with his left-arm seam bowling.

From Ireland, Craig Young would make his way to our team. Young is a very talented pace bowler and was brilliant in the practice games too. He would be a brilliant player to complete our line-up for this game.

Captain and Vice-Captain

The duo of Jason Roy and Moeen Ali will be our captain and vice-captain in this game respectively.
