EVE vs MUN Dream 11 prediction: Everton hosts Manchester United at Goodison Park, and we bring the Dream 11 fantasy tips for the game.
Everton will take on Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday. Solskjaer’s men aim to get back to winning ways after a significantly poor few weeks, which saw them facing defeats in the FA Cup and the Champions League, as well as dropping down to 6th position in the league.
United’s only chance of a Champions League qualification is through the Premier League now, and Solskjaer stated ahead of the game against West Ham last week that the club needed 15 points to secure a third-placed finish.
The side has five games to play, and need 12 more points if we go by Solskjaer’s target.
As Manchester United aims to make a comeback to the league, we take a look at the Dream 11 prediction for the game. Take a look at Manchester United’s predicted line up here.
EVE vs MUN Dream 11 prediction:
Goalkeeper: David De Gea
The Spaniard was shaky in the goal against Barcelona, and committed an embarrassing mistake in the first half, which led to Barcelona doubling the lead.
However, De Gea’s quality is no secret, and even when the Spanish goalkeeper hasn’t had his best season, he has been one of their key players.
Defender: Digne, Zouma, Lindelof, Dalot
Lucas Digne and Kurt Zouma have been two of the top defensive performers for Everton this season. I’ve paired them with Lindelof and Dalot. The latter also provides a good option during the attack.
With a top-4 finish at stake, I place my faith in the two Manchester United defenders. Victor Lindelof’s performances this season have been impressive for the side. Zouma and Digne, meanwhile, offer defensive stability in Everton’s backline, and could provide crucial points.
Midfield: Bernard, Richarlison, Pogba
Bernard has been decent for Everton in the last few weeks, while Richarlison could step for Everton as he faces a considerably weak Manchester United defence.
The only Manchester United midfielder I’ve selected in my team is Paul Pogba. Even when the Frenchman has been struggling, he could the best player on the pitch on his day. Besides, he scored the two penalty goals against West Ham last weekend, and with Manchester United desperately eyeing for a top-4 spot, an attacking approach could result in more fouls from Everton.
Forward: Lukaku, Sanchez, Calvert-Lewin
This is where I tweak with my side a little. Alexis Sanchez is a controversial choice for the game, but his outing against Barcelona at Camp Nou inspires confidence. The Chilean forward posed more threat to the Barca backline than Anthony Martial, and I expect Solskjaer to give Sanchez a decent run-in against Everton.
Solskjaer attacked his non-performers in the pre-match conference earlier this week, and so, it is possible that he could start Lukaku as well. Romelu Lukaku’s physicality and his recent form makes him a top choice for a vice-captain.
Calvert-Lewin is the only Everton forward I’ve selected in the team as he could exploit the weak links in Manchester United’s defence.
