Everton 0-4 Man Utd: Gary Neville rips apart Manchester United players after shock loss

Everton 0-4 Man Utd: Former Manchester United star and pundit Gary Neville ripped apart the Manchester United players after a stunning 4-0 loss.

Manchester United’s season just took the turn for the worse as the side faced a 4-0 defeat to Everton in the Premier League.

With this loss, their chances of making it into the top-4 look bleak, as Manchester United faces Manchester City and Chelsea in back-to-back games next week.

Richarlison, Siggurdson, Lucas Digne and Walcott were all on the scoresheet as Everton thoroughly outclassed Manchester United in the game. The midfield looked non-existent and the defence simply shambolic, as David De Gea could do little to stop the goals.

Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford missed significant chances and the side registered its first shot on target in the 85th minute.

After the game, Gary Neville spoke on Sky Sports, and fair to say, simply ripped apart the Manchester United players for their performance.

Gary Neville on Man Utd players:

Gary Neville destroyed the players after a shambolic performance at the Goodison Park, calling for their immediate departure from the club if they don’t step up.

“That performance today was rancid,” Neville began.

“I don’t need to name names, everyone knows who they are. They’re in the newspapers, on social media every day. Every single player who doesn’t have the attitude, forget talent, if they don’t work hard, get rid of them.”

He talked about the lack of work ethic from Manchester United’s players, stating that they are falling below the standards of the club.

“I’m watching Manchester United players walk around, jogging back, I saw it Barcelona the other night in the Nou Camp, you do not drop the below the standards and work ethic expected at the club.

“They’re falling below it.”

Neville defended Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, however, as he stated that he would go down the same road as Jose Mourinho and will lose faith in his players if they don’t improve.

“Jose Mourinho is one of the most successful managers of the last 20 years in football, a great manager, in the end he lost all faith in these players.

“I wold imagine now, the more Solskjaer watches those players, the more he’ll be losing faith in them.”
