Max Verstappen once pulled off an insane dig at Red Bull ahead of the season opener in Bahrain this year. The man who’s known to be brilliant on track also has the ability to change his role and take up the job of a stand-up comedian, for sure.
When it comes to sharing his stand-up comedy act and showing his naughty side, even Verstappen‘s own team doesn’t get spared. As happened during the 2023 Bahrain Grand Prix when the Dutchman rocked the stage with his reply.

The Dutch pilot was asked to reveal some of the changes that have happened to the Red Bull RB-19 from its predecessor, RB-18. It was just two worded answer that killed it for him and sent the crowd into ruptures.
Verstappen said, “The Livery!” and laughed as the audience joined the bandwagon. The two-time world champion took a subtle dig at his team as the Austrian team hardly changed their livery in 2023 from that of 2022. Well done, young man.
Max Verstappen didn’t spare Lewis Hamilton
When the high-profile takeover of Chelsea Football Club was in the news last year, there were reports that Lewis Hamilton was one of the front runners to go for the bids along with his consortium.
This amazed Verstappen as his inner naughty child wanted to come out. Referring to the Chelsea bid, the Dutchman asked during a press conference if Hamilton was an Arsenal fan. As he found out, he mildly quipped the seven-time world champion’s choice and gave one to himself.

“I am a PSV [Eindhoven] fan, and I would never buy Ajax,” said the 25-year-old driver. Be it Chelsea, Arsenal, PSV, or Ajax, the Dutchman’s dig in the Briton will forever live by.
Verstappen didn’t leave Ferrari as well
There’s hardly any team or any individual who wasn’t the subject of the Dutch pilot’s dig. After Red Bull, Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari was on the receiving end this time.
Footage from the Red Bull star’s documentary named Max Verstappen: Anatomy of a Champion showed how the Hasselt-born was sure of Ferrari’s blunders. As per the video, Verstappen was talking about the possible weather conditions of the 2022 Belgian GP with his entourage.
While talking about it, the 25-year-old said there would be rain on Friday and Saturday, and there would be more chaos. But if it’s dry, “Ferrari has more options to f*ck up the strategy,” Verstappen concluded.
This was a well-polished dig from the two-time world champion as the Prancing Horse showed numerous examples of faulty strategies that haunted them. Despite starting off strong, they lost the title to Red Bull, and miscalculated strategy was one of the biggest reasons.
