Plenty of celebrities were in attendance at the 2023 Miami GP, including the likes of Tom Cruise and Roger Federer. They all visited the garages of different teams, with social media personality and boxer Jake Paul paying a visit to Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes’ garage.
Paul, who has an estimated net worth of $40 million, saw the technical aspect of F1 for the first time ever. This left him in awe, with Paul claiming that it reminds him a lot about his profession- boxing.
“It reminds me of boxing in many ways” 🤝

Jake Paul and his brother Logan Paul rose to fame through videos posted on social media, but over the last few years, they have taken a liking towards combat sports, and have competed with some of the best in the world. Jake Paul is scheduled to take on former UFC Champion Nate Diaz, in a catchweight boxing bout.
Paul revealed that this was the first time he ever visited an F1 paddock, which he found very cool. Seeing the cars, talking to the teams, and witnessing how much work goes into making a race weekend successful, makes him draw comparisons to boxing.
“This sport is so technical,” said Paul to Sky Sports. “It reminds me of boxing in many ways.”
Lewis Hamilton shakes off a disappointing start to Miami GP weekend
While Paul was in the Mercedes garage, taking in the wonders of modern automobile technology, Lewis Hamilton was out on the track, trying his best to end the race with a strong points haul. Qualifying was immensely disappointing for Hamilton, who failed to get his car into Q3.
As a result, the Briton started the race from 13th, but after a slow start, managed to get into sixth, which is where he finished. Hamilton had to be patient with his car, as the DRS train at the beginning of the race, prevented him from making any early moves.
Hamilton’s teammate meanwhile, brought home a P4 finish for Mercedes, which was as good as they could have performed, considering the fact that Alonso’s Aston Martin was much faster.
Hamilton happy with how the race unfolded
When the 2023 Miami GP started, many predicted another tough weekend for Hamilton. However, making up seven places and charging through the field gave the 38-year-old a good and enjoyable experience around the Miami International Autodrome.

As reported by Racing News 365, Hamilton is happy with the points he and Russell earned in Miami, as they look to improve even more in Imola. Hamilton is currently fourth in the drivers’ standings with 56 point to his name, whereas his teammate George Russell is in sixth with 40 points.
