"Almost All the Racetracks We Are Sold Out": Franz Tost Makes Bold Red Bull Claim as He Defends Max Verstappen's Domination

As Max Verstappen continues to dominate F1 by winning race after race, several fans have explained how this common routine of Red Bull’s domination has made the sport boring. Even though several fans have made such claims, AlphaTauri team principal Franz Tost does not believe that this is the case.

The 67-year-old defended the Milton Keynes outfit’s domination by citing facts of how most of the races are sold out. He believes that the only races where numbers have been lower than before is in Austria and Germany, and that is because there are fewer local drivers.

He then went on to explain how ratings only went higher in Spain when Fernando Alonso joined the sport. Tost then concluded his remarks by explaining how Verstappen and Red Bull’s recent domination in the sport has also helped the ratings in Austria increase, a venue that is the home Grand Prix of the Milton Keynes outfit.

It’s not boring“: Tost defends Verstappen and Red Bull’s domination

While speaking in a recent interview with OE24 (as quoted by formulapassion.it), Franz Tost gave his outlook on F1’s recent spectacle. “It’s not boring – he declared – in almost all the racetracks we are sold out, as also happened in the last Austrian GP. The fact that ratings in Germany and Austria are declining is mainly due to the lack of local pilots,” he explained.

After explaining why he believes that Red Bull’s domination has not affected the spectacle of the sport in anyway, Tost then went on to praise the Milton Keynes outfit for their recent success. He believes that most of the success that Red Bull has achieved is because of how well they have been able to build the car around reigning world champion Max Verstappen.

The 67-year-old believes that Red Bull currently have the perfect combination as they have an exceptional driver in Verstappen and a brilliant team of technicians to suit his needs. It is this reason why Tost believes that no team comes close to Red Bull, and why they could possibly go on to win every race this year.

Max Verstappen has had an exceptional start to the 2023 season

Max Verstappen seems to have carried over his form from last season as he has already won six of the opening eight races. And that is not it, the Dutchman has also showed immense consistency.

This is because the lowest he has finished in any of the races is second place. Since Verstappen has had such a brilliant start to the new campaign, he has been able to build a whopping 69-point gap over his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez.

Hence, considering the start that Verstappen has had to this campaign, it seems that the question is more about when he will win the title rather than if he will win it or not.
