“Aston Martin About To Steal…” F1 Twitter Watches in Shock As Red Bull Faces Mercedes “Floor” Fate

Sergio Perez’s Monaco GP started with tremendous disappointment as the Mexican driver crashed out of Q1 in the Principality. However, the crash brought a headache for his team, Red Bull, as well.

With Perez‘s crashed car present on the track, a crane picked up the RB-19. There was nothing special in it until it was exactly the moment the F1 TV, along with many other media, directed their camera right at the floor of the Red Bull challenger.

This was something similar to Lewis Hamilton’s W14 when he crashed in Free Practice. As soon as the floor of the car was visible, fans on Twitter shared their wild reactions and tagged the rival teams to note the information.

Just over seven minutes into the Q1, Perez crashed as he slid going around the corner. Something he repeated from last year when he hit the barrier in Q3, which ended the session prematurely.

Fans react wildly as Perez’s car saw Hamilton’s fate

As soon as the car was on the air, and it was pictured, fans from all over the world tagged Red Bull’s closest rivals Aston Martin, Ferrari to take note of the floor.

Furthermore, it was even more shocking for the team since the RB-19 is the car to beat in the 2023 F1 season. With its winning formula extensively out, Adrian Newey would be nothing but furious.

Nevertheless, given below are some of the reactions taken from Twitter:

A fan named M Taylor had one of the finest responses as he mentioned Aston Martin.

Another fan named Azurestripe asked the cameras to be out.

The username Mikolaj reflected the same fate Red Bull and Mercedes faced.

Perez believes the Monaco GP race to be a nightmare

As the Red Bull star failed to control his RB-19 and the next thing he knew was the hit against the wall. Since he crashed out, he’ll start from P20 on Sunday.

Starting from such a place and racing on a narrow track like Monaco, Sergio Perez believes the upcoming race is to be a nightmare for him.
Perez, who also started the race from P20 in Melbourne, came up to finish in P5, but the Monte Carlo track is different. “It’s going to be a nightmare. It is going to be terribly difficult to come forward,” Sergio Perez told Dutch media Viaplay, as per Formule1 Netherlands.
