Daniel Ricciardo Reminds Max Verstappen of His Cartoonish Lookalike as He Reminisces an Old Prank

Prankster Daniel Ricciardo was once again at his very best as he made a hilarious comparison about Max Verstappen’s appearance. The Australian joked that Ice Age’s Sid the Sloth is a lookalike of the Dutchman.

On hearing the same, Sergio Perez burst into laugher while Verstappen too appreciated the joke. However, what caught the attention of F1 fans was the way Ricciardo jumped in joy while cracking this prank.

F1 fans love Ricciardo’s excitement during his prank

Several fans such as Jen loved how excited Daniel Ricciardo was during his prank.

On similar lines, fans such as Shaira stated that they love the Australian for the way he was ‘jumping like a kid‘.

Meanwhile, some other fans such as Kelly were in agreement with Ricciardo’s judgment about Verstappen’s lookalike.

And then there were some other fans such as Roger, who hilariously went to the extent of replacing Verstappen’s face with that of Sid the Sloth.

Daniel Ricciardo has previously pranked Max Verstappen in a similar fashion

This was not the first time that Daniel Ricciardo pulled off such a prank on Max Verstappen as he also did so back in October 2019. The Australian left a picture of Sid the Sloth beside that of the Dutchman on the Red Bull driver’s car.

Fans passing by Verstappen’s car could not help but burst into laughter. Meanwhile, Ricciardo seemed extremely proud of the prank he had played. Because of the way Ricciardo repeatedly plays pranks on Verstappen, it seems to suggest that the relationship between the two former teammates continues to be extremely strong.

Verstappen and Ricciardo were teammates at Red Bull during the 2016, 2017 and 2018 seasons after which the latter left the team to join rivals Renault. After four seasons elsewhere, Ricciardo returned to the Red Bull family but this time as a test driver.

With him having failed to secure a race seat for this year, Ricciardo has been helping Red Bull with their work on the simulator, and to carry out promotional activities. The Australian will now hope that an opportunity opens up next season so that he can return to the grid.
