When rumors of Taylor Swift and Fernando Alonso dating emerged, F1 fans lost their cool over a potential dream pairing between two of the biggest stars in the world. Red Bull reserve driver Daniel Ricciardo, however, never shipped Swift and Alonso as he feels that they are two completely different entities.
In an interview with ESPN F1 after the Miami GP, Ricciardo shared his thoughts on the rumors about Alonso dating Swift. The host of the segment asked Ricciardo which F1 driver would most likely be getting to go out on a date with Swift, to which Ricciardo said, “Definitely not Alonso. I called BS on that from the start.”

Ricciardo went on to explain why he doesn’t think Alonso and Swift would be a good match. The honey badger thinks that Alonso appreciates racing more than “arts” and he insists that only people appreciating the latter should go out with Taylor Swift. Ricciardo says-
“I think Alonso appreciates racing. Probably only racing. I feel like any time I see him do anything, it’s just racing, so that’s why I kind of quickly canceled him.”
What happened to Fernando Alonso and Taylor Swift’s rumored relationship?
The entire Swift-Alonso saga took over the world of F1, until the rumors were laid to rest earlier this months. As it turns out, Alonso and Swift are not dating, and the subtle hints coming from Alonso’s side were nothing but jokes.
Recent reports appearing on social media stated that Swift was dating 1975 frontman Matt Healy, who was spotted at one of her recent concerts in Nashville, Tennessee.

Fernando Alonso dating Swift was always an unlikely scenario, but it led to a lot of banter and fun within the F1 community, with both drivers and commentators taking digs at the two-time F1 champion during the Azerbaijan GP weekend.
Daniel Ricciardo set to get his Red Bull drive
Daniel Ricciardo failed to find a seat for himself at the end of the 2022 season and decided to return to Red Bull as a third-driver. His main duties included helping the team with simulator work, and appear for media events. However, as Christian Horner promised, Ricciardo will finally get to drive an F1 car.
As per ESPN, Ricciardo will be a part of a Pirelli tyre test, where he’ll drive the RB19 at Silverstone in the aftermath of the 2023 British GP. The 33-year-old also revealed that he could get a shot at driving the car once again at the Italian GP weekend in Monza.
