Esteban Ocon responds to Dutch reporter's public apology after latter abused Renault driver

Esteban Ocon responds to Dutch reporters apology after he abused Renault driver while interviewing Lando Norris post-Belgian GP.

The controversy sparked when a journalist from a reputed news agency abused Esteban Ocon by calling him a “French F***” while interviewing Lando Norris after the end of Belgian GP.

The video went viral and it didn’t go well with many Formula 1 followers, which propelled the journalist to make a public apology on social media.

A day later the French driver made a response to his apology by replying back to his tweet: “Apologies accepted mate!”, ending the heat around the situation.

Esteban Ocon excellent performance at Spa

It was duly noted that Renault had a great performance at Spa, as Daniel Ricciardo came at P4, while Ocon was also not much behind and finished P5 by beating Alex Albon in the triple contest between both and Lando Norris.

Now, with this, the F1 entourage is set to race at Monza next weekend. Over here also Renault is expected to make another impressive display as both Daniel Ricciardo and Nico Hulkenberg impressively finished at P4 and P5 respectively.

Moreover, the track at Monza is a funny old track like Spa and generates some marvellous spectacles and they reward lower drag resistance thanks to the long flat-out sections.

To be competitive around here, though, you still need a good aerodynamic efficiency – and this the Renault seems to have. Thus, a good result at Monza will overturn the midfield battle.
