F1 Fans Laugh as Fernando Alonso Praises Lance Stroll While Racing for P3 at Miami GP

Fernando Alonso has given fans something to laugh about as the Miami GP turned out to be a straightforward race with quite less overtaking actions. Towards the end of the Grand Prix, Alonso who was racing for the P3 finish took out time to praise his teammate Lance Stroll.

Alonso probably saw Stroll on one of the big screens track-side. F1 fans have taken over the internet to say that the Spaniard is so bored that he is watching the race on the screen.

Admittedly, Alonso was quite far behind the top runners and was facing no pressure from the rear.

While some of the fans found the incident hilarious, others noted Alonso’s camaraderie towards his teammate. Even in the Azerbaijan GP last time out, Alonso communicated a braking suggestion to Stroll while racing.

Alonso had asked his race engineer what position is Stroll at and then praised the Canadian for making a good move around one of the corners.

Fernando Alonso wants more

Furthermore, after the race Alonso, who grabbed his fourth podium of the season at Miami GP, said that it was a lonely race. Speaking in the post-race interview, It’s never easy, but it was a lonely race. Everything was fine, we take the podium, and going into Imola, Monaco, and Barcelona we hope to keep going.”

Moreover, he added that at the beginning of the season winning podiums was an amazing feeling for the team but now they want more than just podiums.
