F1 Monaco GP to Host $450,000,000 Hollywood Blockbuster’s Prequel Starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling

The Monaco GP is one of the most iconic and glamorous races in the F1 calendar. Multiple Hollywood stars have attended the event in the past, and it has also been the location of choice for several famous films. Now, it is set to feature in Hollywood again, with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling leading the cast in a widely anticipated film.

Robbie and Gosling have been heavily featured in the news as of late. Fans all over the world are waiting for Barbie –starring those two- to be released. The movie has generated a lot of buzz among the public, and it will release on the 21st of July this year. F1 fans, however, came across another piece of news involving Robbie and Gosling that they should find more interesting.

The stars of Barbie will begin shooting another film very soon. This is a prequel to one of Hollywood’s most iconic movies, Oceans Eleven, and F1’s “crown jewel” is set to play a major role in this.

Oceans Eleven’s prequel to be set in Monaco GP

As per DiscussingFilmthe prequel to Oceans Eleven, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling will be set in the 1962 Monaco GP. It will feature a heist, that will take place on one of the yachts in Monaco’s famous Marina.

The official genre of the movie is an “old-fashioned epic love story/adventure”. Gosling and Robbie are two of Hollywood’s biggest stars. With them starring in a movie set in the old days of the Monaco GP, it is likely to be a huge success.

Oceans Eleven itself is one of the most famous movies of all time. The likes of George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts starred in it. Oceans Eleven ended up grossing a total of $450,000,000 worldwide, making it a massive commercial success.

F1 was once part of a $400,000 diamond heist publicity stunt

F1 has often been a major part of some famous Hollywood storylines. We have seen this particular F1 circuit be a part of many movies in the past. For example, Iron Man 2, starring Robert Downey Jr. had the Monaco GP in its opening scene. Downey Jr, playing the role of Tony Stark fought off a supervillain on track, while the race was going on.

Talking about the Oceans franchise, however, they themselves collaborated with F1 in the past. Ahead of the 2004 Monaco GP, a $400,000 diamond was strapped to the front of Christian Klien’s Jaguar. After the race, it was revealed that the diamond had been stolen. This was nothing but a PR stunt by the Jaguar team, since Oceans Twelve was releasing shortly after the Monaco GP.

With the popularity of F1 growing every day, more and more celebrities are taking interest in the sport. Having it be a part of their movies is good for their publicity, and also good for bringing in newer fans to the sport.
