Formula 1 Fans Want Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso to Battle Once Again; This Time for Taylor Swift

Formula 1 was lucky, or still is, to witness the great rivalry between Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton. Triggered in 2007 when rookie Hamilton dared to challenge the freshly made two-time world champion Alonso at McLaren.

Though no one foresaw it, the rivalry soon escalated and became one of the fiercest competitions between two stalwarts of F1. The cracks of that conflict are still alive on the track, as both drivers have had numerous standoffs since then.

But it’s good for photo-ops. As always, after every scuffle, the two post photos with each other, signaling the restoration of peace. But the fans want more, this time not on the track but in matters of the heart.

Initially, some Spanish outlets were reporting about Alonso rumoredly seeing Taylor Swift since last week. The rumor was then fueled by Duexmoi– an anonymous gossip page on Instagram, reiterating the reports.

The F1 fans on Twitter instantly started to react to it and posted several memes regarding it. For many, it was one of the most absurd rumors they had ever heard.

But amidst the rumors, some fans have taken another route altogether. Many have included Alonso‘s fiercest rival in the discourse and want him to date Swift.

Though, it’s unlikely Alonso is anywhere near to dating the 33-year-old singer, even if both are reportedly single, as their worlds don’t collide often. And Hamilton is surely not battling one of the biggest F1 icons for a girlfriend.

Hamilton is a fan of the Pop sensation

Swift is one of the biggest celebrities in the world, with millions of fans boosting her popularity daily. The four-time Emmy winner has some quality songs in her basket, making F1 legend Hamilton her fan.

In 2016, during the annual US Grand Prix in Texas, Swift was scheduled to perform during the race weekend. The seven-time world champion back then was keen to attend her performance and revealed he is a fan.

The two even met each other in 2016 during a Tommy Hilfiger event. At that time, even Martha Hunt also accompanied them and occupied the front-row seats.
