Formula One Drive To Survive: Netflix drops DTS season 5 release date

Formula One got mammoth popularity with the Drive To Survive going viral across the globe. Netflix, for over five years, is now extensively covering the sport from the inside.

Not only it fetched the attraction of old fans, and it gave them access to what happens in a team and to the driver behind the scenes. It also gave instant deep knowledge to the new fans.

It also gave overnight success to the drivers in the regions where they were unknown before. Now completing its four seasons, Netflix is set to release the new season, giving a deep look at the 2022 season.

Formula One Drive To Survive: When is Netflix releasing season 5?

On Thursday, the announcement of the new DTS season was given by Netflix and F1. According to official sources, the new season will drop on 25th February.

It’s actually clashing on the last day of the winter testing in Bahrain. Thus, giving a jam-packed day for the F1 fans. Luckily, it’s a weekend, and fans can enjoy it without any worries in their professional life.

Surely it would be the perfect head start for the F1 fans as it will bring them back into the mood to be excited about the new season. Though, every year this is the same timeline.

Time to welcome new F1 fans?

With every new DTS season, the number of fans has multiplied. Multiple reports have confirmed it. The biggest success has been in the United States. F1 has been trying to extract something from their wealthy sports market for decades.

But it never got so much success. But in 2019, when its first season dropped. F1 saw an unprecedented rise in the US. Fast forward to 2023, and they have three races scheduled over there. Only 11 years ago, they were struggling to keep up with one.

So, in all probability, the older F1 fans will have to see a new wave of fans. Surely it would only enhance the finances of the sport. On 25th February, we have to wait for all the drama.
