"I Can't Believe Any of This": Pierre Gasly Makes a Fan's Day After She Travels to Milan From Uruguay

Pierre Gasly recently delighted a female fan with his heartwarming gesture after she traveled all the way from Uruguay to watch the Imola Grand Prix which was canceled due to excessive flooding. Following her meeting with the Alpine driver, the Uruguayan fan took to her social media account and thanked the Frenchman for his kindness.

After meeting Gasly, Antonela uploaded several pictures to her Twitter account and expressed how grateful she was. In her first post, she wrote,

I can’t believe any of this. The fact that he has taken a few minutes out of his day so that I can get to know him makes him the best person in the world. He felt bad about the gp and wanted to remedy it like this and I can only say THANK YOU“.

In her subsequent posts, she went on to thank Gasly for his heartwarming gesture. She ended her post by stating that she will cherish this memory forever.

F1 fans laud Pierre Gasly for his kind gesture

Soon after Pierre Gasly made this touching gesture for the Uruguayan fan, several took to social media and applauded the Frenchman for his kindness. Fans such as Neline thanked the 27-year-old for doing this, stating that it shows that he ‘cares‘ about his fans.

Along similar lines, fans such as Agam called Gasly ‘an amazing person‘, stating that he cares for his ‘fans like no one else‘.

And then there were some other fans such as Dia who referred to Gasly’s sweet gesture as the ‘best thing‘ they saw.

Imola GP canceled after floods wreck havoc in Emilia-Romagna region

After holding discussions with the FIA and the authorities of Italy, F1 decided it was not feasible to move ahead with the Imola GP as planned. They released a statement to confirm the same, stating that their thoughts were the people and communities that were affected by these recent events.

The news of the cancelation of the Grand Prix came a day after the authorities of Imola issued a red weather alert. This alert came as the torrential rains had a devastating impact on the region as it not only caused severe flooding but also landslides in some parts of the region.
