"I don’t feel at home in the car"– Sergio Perez on his Red Bull struggles

“I don’t feel at home in the car”– Sergio Perez talks about his Red Bull struggles as he managed to not perform well in three out of five races.

The Red Bull leadership signed Sergio Perez with the hope that their 2nd seat curse would finally break. But the Mexican is yet to stand on his expectations, though his last performance in Monaco brought his team a crucial P4.

But overall, Perez is not comfortable with the car as of now, which is why he feels the results are yet to come. He even claims that he is not the only driver with a new team to struggle this season.

“I don’t feel at home in the car, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. There are tyre changes, wing changes, weather changes, and when you know a car by heart it’s very easy to adapt to these situations.”

“I am not the only one who has difficulties with a new car. I haven’t forgotten how to do the job, but unfortunately it’s taking longer than I would like,” said Sergio Pérez.

Sergio Perez can still bounce back.

The season for Perez is still not over, as there are 18 more races to compete in, and with Valtteri Bottas having his worst Mercedes start, the third position in the drivers’ championship is pretty unstable.

With Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz and Perez now vying for it apart from the Finnish race driver. Among all, Perez can have an edge if he manages to improve his performances.

As of now, Red Bull would be happy with him if he consistently ends up within the top four in every race. So with more mileage, maybe Perez can get better with the car and cement his place in Red Bull.
