“I have not forgotten how to drive”- Sebastian Vettel responds when asked about critiques affecting his self-confidence with gloomy days at Ferrari.

Sebastian Vettel is among the most experienced drivers in the paddock and there is probably some steam left in him which is motivating him to study us more.

“When you are self-critical, you always have doubts. But I have not forgotten how to drive, rather I am analyzing why it is that I could not call up one hundred per cent of my abilities,” said Sebastian Vettel to Frankfurter Rundschau.

Positive in mind forever

When asked about Vettel’s iconic quote that his relationship with Ferrari is no more a love affair, the German said it is now true but also he won’t forget the good time with the team anytime ahead.

“Saying goodbye is never nice. But I keep the positive moments in my mind. The joy of the Tifosi, the boys who always stood by me. The first win in the second race for Ferrari in Malaysia was something special.” said Vettel.

“That’s when I realized what victories really mean for Ferrari. It confirmed what I had heard before. In joy, Italians hug you more than anyone else. And they can celebrate too.”

“During the night I drank the whole hotel bar with my boys. I will never forget the evenings with Mama Rosella in Fiorano. Mama Rosella has been Ferrari’s good soul for decades. She runs a restaurant right next to the Ferrari test track in Maranello. Their dishes are legendary.”

Now, Vettel is heading onto a new journey with Aston Martin in 2021, ending his glorious time at Ferrari.
